Albany Police are putting on a free gospel concert this weekend.
It's free, but they will accept donations to fund the department's annual community picnic in June.
Musical artists from around South Georgia will perform.
Police say it's a way to help the community get to know the force better.
"We're trying to do more events to help bridge the gap between the community and police department and show another side of the police department as far as community service outside of just law enforcement," said Det. Kawaski Barnes.
The concert starts at 5 o'clock Saturday at the Albany Municipal Auditorium.
