THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society Volunteer Lacey Williams and WALB's Stephen Abel drew the winning raffle ticket late Wednesday afternoon for a $100 gas card donated by Harold Jackson and Petroleum Products of Thomasville.

A group of volunteers raised a total of $640 by selling the raffle tickets. The money will be used to fight animal cruelty through education and awareness.

Volunteers who also helped with this fundraising effort, but were not in attendance during the drawing include: Chris Marsh, Winnie Lessard, and Kevin and Lynn Gomes.

The winning ticket number was 885335 and may be redeemed at the shelter on 180 Big Star Drive.
