The Lee County Sheriff's Department is now working with the Albany Crimestoppers. The Lee County Sheriff's Department asked to join the Albany Crime-stoppers program. The Sheriff's Department believes it will be a helpful tool in closing some cases.

"It just would help up clear up cases if there is someone that has some information on a case, that they give us, that they might not want to come up and talk to us about, but feel that they have good information that they could give anonymously then they could use the information through the line that we then can receive," said Scott Getek, Lee County Sheriff's Department.

Lee County citizens can provide their tips by calling the Crimestoppers tip line at  229-436-8477.
