ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Some princesses and super heroes made a stop in Albany Wednesday to visit young patients at Phoebe Putney Memorial hospital.

Spiderman, Ariel and a few others made rounds to the children on the pediatric floor delivering presents and smiles. Princesses with a Purpose is a non-profit organization, that strives to bring hope and encouragement to patients.

"We love making children believe in magic again. Because that's something that they lose when they're here. It's very painful to be here and we just love making them smile and reminding them that there is magic and it's still alive," said Miranda Bryant, the executive director of Princesses with a Purpose.

The princesses and super heroes also visit foster care groups and nursing homes across the southeast and California.

The organization, which was established in November 2011 is based out of Middle Georgia.
