DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -

Dougherty County Police are investigating a rash of entering auto thefts in the West region of the county. They hope you can identify one suspected thief caught on camera.

Take a look at the young man in the white shirt and red hat, using a debit card at the Pilot store at Clark and Cordele Road on April 15th around 3:30 in the morning. That debit card was taken out of Christina McLellan's car. The man left the store driving that black car.

Investigators say he also used the card at a Waffle House and Flash Foods,  in all stealing $578.

Police say since May 5th they've investigated 10 cases of items being stolen from cars in driveways at night.

"All the vehicles were unlocked," said Dougherty County Police Sgt. Chad Kirkpatrick.   "The main thing we want to stress to all the citizens is lock your vehicles. Especially if you are going to leave valuables in the vehicle."

The thieves stole and guns, purses, briefcases, and cash.

If you can help Dougherty County Police identify this theft suspect, you could earn a reward. Call CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
