Educators get great resources for helping students


Teachers and parents have new resources to help kids deal with major issues such as bullying, depression, and obesity. Now kids and educators have the power to make a difference.

Officials with Phoebe's Network of Trust highlighted those resources at a special luncheon Wednesday.

Thanks to a partnership with, those resources are free for educators to put to use in the classroom. is a website with tons of lessons and interactive tools, designed to promote healthy lifestyles.

But school officials got a look at several new exciting games, designed to engage students.

Jan Tilinski knows a thing or two about bullying. She says her daughter was bullied in the 5th grade. And she's not alone. 160,000 kids miss school everyday due to fear or attack or intimidation by their peers.

But now, educators in our area have access to resources, like this game to help kids deal with bullying and other issues on their own.

Today leaders from schools across southwest Georgia got a look at some brand new and engaging tools they can take back to the classroom. Thanks to a partnership between Phoebe's Network of Trust and, schools across our area have access to free resources that help address a host of issues.

From bullying, to sleep, even exercising Superintendent's principals and curriculum directors got to see and experience some of the new games and activities they can use.

There are games that help with breathing techniques, a dancing game, and even a yoga game.
