(WMC-TV) - Roadways around the Mid-South are flooding resulting in cars getting stuck in massive puddles and flooded areas.

At least three cars are halfway under water at Goodman Road and Elmore Road. See more details on traffic in the Action News 5 Traffic Tracker here.

Reports are coming in of water covered roadways in East Memphis around Clark Tower on Poplar Avenue.

Roadways and front yards of neighborhoods in Southaven are also flooding. Cowpen Creek has flooded closing a bridge in Olive Branch.

Officials urge drivers to avoid water covered roadways. The water depth may be too deep for your vehicle to cross.

A flash flood warning is in effect for Shelby County and DeSoto County, Mississippi. The warning will stay in effect until 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Doppler radar estimates two to four inches of rain has fallen over the past two hours. The National Weather Service predicts another two to four inches will fall in the next few hours.

Locations in the warning include Horn Lake, Olive Branch, Southaven, Bartlett, Germantown, Midtown Memphis, Millington, Cordova, and T.O. Fuller State Park.
