Fugitive Task Force, Tift Sheriff make two arrests

Tuesday afternoon, investigators with the Tift County Sheriff's Office and the US Marshall's Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested two people.

36 year old Charlie Frank Branner Junior of Vidalia and 31 year old Kristen Caprie Johnson of Reidsville are now in jail.

Branner is being charged with 2 counts of burglary in Telfair County; obstruction, giving a false name and for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in Twiggs County and for a probation violation in Tift County as well as a statewide parole violation.

Johnson is being charged with hindering the apprehension of a known fugitive.

Both are currently being held in the Tift County Detention Center.

They were arrested on East 2nd street in Tifton.
