Thomasville Police investigate attempted armed robbery

THOMAS CO., GA (WALB) -

Thomasville Police are looking for two men who attempted to rob a store, scaring customers and clerks.

Police say they responded to the Dollar General on West Jackson Street around 9:15pm Friday. Employees told police that two men came into store with bandanas over their faces. They say one of the men aimed a rifle or a shotgun at the clerk and demanded money.

The clerk was unable to open the register and the two men fled the store empty handed. No one was injured in the ordeal, but the store was full of people.  Police believe the suspects fled in a black Lexus.

If you have any information please call Thomasville crime stoppers at 227-3005.
