ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A semi-truck slammed into the back of a pickup truck on the Liberty Expressway near the Jefferson Street Exit around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The pickup had a mechanical problem and was stopped in one of the westbound lanes.

The pickup sustained heavy damage, but the driver, 26 year-old Latoya Smith, suffered minor injuries.

Dwayne Pittman was driving the semi. Albany Police are still investigating, and charges are pending.
