Through HopeLine, Verizon's national cell phone recycling and re-use program to benefit victims of domestic violence, the company is once again celebrating the brave women who have taken refuge at the Liberty House of Albany for Mother's Day.

Showing its appreciation for the admirable work that the Shelter does for the entire Albany community, Verizon Wireless will present the organization with a $1,000 donation and a bouquet of flowers to enjoy.

Gift bags of essential toiletries will be given to all of the women currently enrolled in the Shelter. The Liberty House is a non-profit agency in Dougherty County that provides comprehensive services for domestic violence victims, their children, families, and friends.

HopeLine puts Verizon's technology and the nation's most reliable and largest wireless network to work in communities by turning no-longer-used wireless phones into support for victims of domestic violence and helps protect the environment by disposing of wireless phones in an environmentally sound way.
