Albany mothers share joys of Motherhood

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

People all over are celebrating their mom on Mother's Day in some way.

Some folks took their mom's out for lunch or dinner. Many mothers expressed the joys and challenges of motherhood.

WALB talked with one mother, who has seven kids and she says she loves being a mom. She takes pride in knowing she and her children are all so close.

"Oh God, I'll have them again. I'll do it again. I wouldn't change anything for the world. I mean sometimes you say you would but no, God's been good to me and I thank God he's given me seven healthy beautiful kids, I can't complain.

Her children range in age, from 30 to 11 years-old. Her oldest child is in the military and is stationed in Afghanistan.

Fran Walls is a mother of two, but she has is also a mother to many others.

"I drive a school bus for Lee County and I have 10,000 children. So I'm a mother to not only my two but 10,000 more children I love. Part of being a mother is the love and the companion with your children and that's what I have," said Fran Walls.

Cynthia Spann is an adoptive mother of five and 5 step-children and 3 biological kids herself.

"I get to teach them right from wrong. What they didn't know at first. I keep them in the church. That I do," said Cynthia Spann.

Each mother say they plan to relax and spend the rest of the day with their families.
