ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany business owners learned how to be better leaders today from a live inspirational broadcast from Atlanta.

The Albany Chamber of Commerce worked with Darton State college to link into the 2013 Chick-fil-A Leadercast. It featured guest speakers with expertise in various industries.

Managers and business owners watched the broadcast from Darton and learned how to stay calm in the midst of chaos and lead more effectively.

"Just a variety of things...you know, as a business owner, I think it's good to step away for a day and just hear ideas on how to manage time and how to manage people. So that's what I'm hoping to get out of it today," said Steve Perrine, a State Farm Agent who attended the event.

The annual event is open to anyone with interest in leadership development.

Albany was one of 750 locations around the world that tuned into the event. Guest speakers included former G.E. CEO Jack Welch and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
