Goodwill week kicks off in Albany

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The folks at Goodwill are helping south Georgians find new jobs while celebrating an annual event.

Recruiters and job seekers will celebrate Goodwill week with job fairs each day this week at the Goodwill Career Center on Slappey Boulevard.

Experts will help job hunters spruce up their resumes and improve their interview skills.

Some employers will also be there looking for workers.

Officials from Chehaw met with jobseekers Monday afternoon.

"When you're looking for work it's a tough thing so it's nice for somebody to give you a shot in the arm, tell you that you're doing fine and that it's ok to deal with some of the harsh realities of what's going on you're trying to find a job," said Chehaw Zoo Director.
