Panthers looking for fresh faces to break losing streak

The Albany Panthers are hoping to break the franchise's first ever two game losing streak Saturday night in Richmond.

The Panthers will hit the field with several new members of the roster after Head Coach Lucious Davis decided to shake up the team.

Albany will line up Saturday with several new defensive starters.

Nose tackle David Rybinski and defensive back Torez Jones joined the Panthers during the team's bye weeks and have already made an impact.

That hasn't surprised Davis, who says it was his mission to go out and sign players who would be playmakers.

"I'm not looking for guys to come in to practice. I want guys that are going to come in and take somebody's spot and show us that you want to play," Davis says. "Those two guys came in and they look real good. So we're hoping to see something big from them this week."

The Panthers kick off against the Raiders Saturday at 7 in Richmond.
