TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating a shooting in the parking lot at Tift Regional Hospital.

Three people were injured. We are told that a woman in her mid-twenties was shot twice, but the injuries are non-life threatening.

Witnesses tell WALB that a man shot a U. S. Marshal shot in chest, but the Marshal had on his vest, and that stopped the bullet.

We're told by witnesses that another Marshal was struck by a vehicle driven by the man who was shooting, as he tried to get away. We don't know the extent of his injuries.

Witnesses say the assailant was then arrested by authorities on the scene, and put into a police car.

The GBI and Tift County Sheriff investigators are still on the scene.
