THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

49-year-old John Riche was arrested Thursday night and remains in the Thomas County Jail, charged with two counts of robbery and cruelty to children.

Investigators say after watching WALB's story about the Rite Aid pharmacy robbery, they received an anonymous tip from someone saying they may recognize the man in the video.

Investigators say the way the robber was walking and his physical description is what the caller said gave him away.

Investigators brought Riche in for questioning Thursday night and he confessed to both the Rite Aid and Rose City Beauty Supply Robberies.

Riche told investigators that he had recently fallen on hard times and that is why he tried robbing each store.

Riche is also charged with cruelty to children because two kids were in the beauty supply store as he was robbing it.
