Teen takes stop signs, leads DNR Ranger on chase

COLQUITT CO., GA (WALB) -

A teenager is accused of stealing road signs and leading a game ranger on a chase through two counties.

17-year-old Austin Griffin of Sparks, Georgia is accused of taking two stop signs Wednesday morning in Colquitt County.

A Department of Natural Resources Officer saw him and chased him into Cook County.

When the chase reached 100 miles per hour, the DNR ranger stopped the pursuit and called the Cook County Sheriff's Office.

Griffin was arrested and charged with obstruction. He is out of jail tonight.
