DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -

Dougherty County Police continue to investigate several recent church burglaries continues to see if anyone else was involved.

25-year old William Hutto of Albany made his first appearance before a judge Thursday morning at the Dougherty County jail.

He's charged with three counts of burglary,  accused of breaking into three churches in East Dougherty County in the last two weeks.

He was arrested Wednesday after police say he was caught on surveillance video breaking into Albany Baptist Church.

Investigators say another man may have helped him.

Dougherty County Police Investigator Sgt. Chad Kirkpatrick said "It's still continuing. Mr Hutto is in the Dougherty County jail. We have additional information and we are actively looking for another person."

Investigators say the safe from the Albany Baptist Church was found in Hutto's home following his arrest.
