OCILLA, GA (WALB) -

An east Georgia truck driver has been charged in a fiery accident that killed three people in Irwin County two years ago.

The Georgia State Patrol has charged Marcus Boatwright of White Plains with second degree homicide by vehicle, following too closely and driving too fast for conditions.

All of the charges are misdemeanors.

Troopers say Boatwright drove into the back of eight cars that were stopped for road construction on Georgia Highway 32 west over Irwinville in early August of 2011.

Janice Potts of Ocilla, Dale Couey of Willacoochee and Theodolphus Harris of Deland Florida were killed when their cars burst into flames.
