ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany business owner is wondering why someone stole the gates from the fence surrounding part of his business.

Nothing was taken from the cars inside the fence at Albany Auto Repair.

Owner Russell Akridge says it cost him $600 to replace the gates.

"Whether somebody took to their house to use, or recycled them at the junk yard, the gates were just missing Monday morning, said Akridge." How did that make you feel? "Violated and expensive."

Akridge contacted local metal recyclers about his missing gates.

Meanwhile East Broad Automotive was also hit by thieves, who stole tires and rims worth more than $5000 from this Cadillac.

The thieves rested the car on wood limbs taken from a nearby pile to steal the tires.
