APD chases down two men for Agg. assault

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany Police Department reports that two men are being held in connection with an Aggravated Assault  that happened about 10:42 this morning at Westover Boulevard and Meredyth Drive.

Here is the report from APD:

Corporal Phares Taylor responded to the above location in reference to an Aggravated Assault. The victim, Robert E. Hall Jr. (44) reported that the suspect, Aunterrio Robinson (37) pointed a gun at him.

After the incident occurred, Hall pursued the suspect, who was driving a Toyota Camry, in his F-250.  Corporal Taylor obtained sight of the two vehicles once he arrived in the area and monitored the victim/suspect pursuit from a safe distance while observing their direction of travel.

The pursuit between the suspect and victim continued onto the Liberty Expressway to Blaylock and ended at 1st and Swift Avenue where Robinson was taken into custody.

Simultaneously, Officers learned that a second male, Jamal Lane (21), may have been inside the Camry with Robinson but jumped out of the vehicle. Lane was apprehended a short while later by Burglary Detective, Daryl Jones in the 1300 block of East Society in an alley.

Charges are pending in the initial incident against Robinson

 

The following was recovered from Lane:

  • 94-counterfiet 20-dollar bills totaling $1,880.00
  • Two weapons; both stolen
  • Undetermined amount of Cocaine which was turned over to the Albany Dougherty Drug Unit.

Lane has been charged with the following:

  • 94-counts of Forgery in the 2nd degree
  • Two Counts of Felony Theft by Receiving
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Valdosta also has an active warrant for a Probation Violation against Lane

 

Additional Charges filed:

Victim: Robert E. Hall Jr. was charge with Disorderly Conduct, Robert K. Hall Senior was charged with Disorderly Conduct, and Conseption Watson Charged with Disorderly Conduct

The four were charged after they got into an altercation with Robinson at 1st and Swift Avenue.
