DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) -

WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman John Barrow (GA-12) will be in Douglas Wednesday for a series of events and meetings. 

Congressman Barrow will visit with pre-kindergarten students at the Satilla Regional Library.  Following the visit with students, Congressman Barrow will attend a lunch with community leaders and retired teachers. 

Finally, Congressman Barrow will tour the Coffee County Jail.  The county jail is requesting approval from the Department of Justice to house federal inmates.   

At 10:30 a.m. he will visit with Pre-K Students at the Satilla Regional Library at 200 S. Madison Av.  

At 11:45 a.m.  he will have lunch with Douglas Community Leaders at Anniston's Restaurant at 1404 West Baker Hwy. in Douglas. 

Then at 3:30 p.m. Barrow will take a tour of the Coffee County Jail on Thompson Drive.
