Albany got a blast of color as people ran though the streets of downtown.
The first Color the Grove Run 5K and Music Festival started at the RiverFront Park this Saturday afternoon. More than 800 people signed up.
The race wasn't timed, so runners could enjoy running through the different color stations. The Flint RiverQuarium and the Darton College Booster Club sponsored the event.
"Lots of folks had to drive to Atlanta or Columbus to participate in the color run, so they're just really excited to have something like this right here in Albany," said Vicki Churchman.
The music festival headlining the band, Cole Taylor, is Saturday night at 8:30p.m. at Darton College.
