Roads will close for Color The Grove 5K Run

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

With information from the City of Albany

The Flint Riverquarium/Darton College will be sponsoring Color The Grove 5K Run tomorrow, April 27, 2013 starting at 2:00 P.M. 

 

Director of Engineering for the City of Albany, Bruce Maples, the following Roads will be closed from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.

 

  • Jackson Street from Roosevelt to Pine Avenue
  • Pine Avenue from Front Street to Jackson Street
  • Washington Street from Roosevelt to Broad Avenue Alley
  • Front Street from Pine Avenue to Broad Avenue Alley
  • Roosevelt Avenue from Thronateeska Heritage Center to Jackson Street

 

Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution while traveling in the area.

    About 8:00 Friday morning, a man went into the Lee County Walmart, walked around the store, and exposed himself to a woman, according to Lee County sheriff's officials.

    Lee County Fire Chief David Forrester said there were two people in the home, and they saw one person in the front yard.  Two people in the home were transported to Phoebe Putney.
