Eight huge vegetable beds have been planted and are maintained by volunteers on the Episcopal Church of St Patrick's property on the corner of Byron Plantation and Old Dawson Road.
The food being raised is totally for the needy to have fresh food in addition to the staples they receive at the Food Bank, etc.
A major irrigation system has been installed to maintain the system.
Church leaders say that more volunteers would be helpful to those currently working the gardens.
