BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) -

Two women were caught in a bathroom in the Decatur County courthouse trying to supply contraband for inmates of the Decatur County Prison.

Ashlyn Soper, 19, and Donnalea Laliberte, 43, are in the Decatur County jail after they were caught with marijuana and cell phones they were trying to smuggle to inmates at the prison.

Soper was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and three counts of trying to supply contraband to inmates.

Laliberte was charged with one count of attempting to supply contraband.

Decatur County Sheriff's officials said they have been working with state prison officials to crack down on contraband being smuggled into prisons.

The women are still in jail.
