New jobs coming to Lee County

Tuesday night, Lee County Commissioners approved a rezoning request that will lead to at least 20 new jobs.

They changed the zoning for an empty building and the 4 acres on which it sits from commercial to industrial so a company can start fabricating and distributing agricultural products there.

Commissioner Ed Duffy said, "It's a good thing for Lee County. That building's been vacant for a long time. I'm glad to see someone utilizing a 20,000 square foot building to manufacture agriculture equipment."

The property on Hugh Road just off Ledo Road is the former site of a transmission shop.
