ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Dougherty County interim school superintendent suspends two administrators for separate policy violations. One of them is being demoted.

Willie Presley, an assistant principal at Monroe High School, was suspended last week for five days without pay for violating testing protocol related to the Student Learning Object exam.

He'll be re-assigned to a teaching position.

Interim Superintendent David Mosely says the school system has to be extra cautious as they try to move the trouble school system forward.

"Right now, we're under such scrutiny that it's critical that we do things the right. And as I said we have to earn our reputation back, you don't get it by doing improper things. You get it by doing things the right way," said Mosely.

Monday, Mosely suspended South Georgia Regional Achievement Center principal John I. Davis for 12 days without pay.

Mosely says he made a critical mistake of not checking the background of a volunteer, who had a criminal record and was recently arrested on child molestation charges.
