"I know so many personal people in that ward," she said Monday to WALB. "And so many of it is small mom and pops. And I take that serious. A lot of them have not been able to move forward in many years because of this economy and if I can bring something new to the ward that will help us and the community, it in many ways is a bigger pressure on me and I'm ready for the challenge."

"I want to do my part to make all of our lives better in Albany.  The people of Ward III want a leader that will represent their needs and bring attention to solving the problems of Ward III.  I bring my integrity and strong work ethic to the office of City Commissioner and to leading the citizens of Ward III."

Fletcher has strong views about her responsibilities as Ward III Commissioner.  "If the voters elect you to do a job, DO IT!  If given the opportunity to represent the people of Ward III, I will be available and accountable 24-7 to take this job on as I have all others, with all of my heart and both of my sleeves rolled up."
