ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Police identified the man who they say took pictures with a stolen phone from a woman's purse taken from her car.

The pictures were automatically uploaded to the victim's Facebook page without him knowing.

He then turned himself in around 7:45 last night and was interviewed by detectives.

APD says he has not been charged for the crime, but they will release more information later this morning.

The theft happened March 31st at Westwind Apartments in Albany.
