ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany man shot a few hours after that murder remains in critical condition Monday night in an Albany hospital.

Police think 45-year old Herbert Williams, Junior was walking on East Road when he was shot twice.

About 3:45 Friday morning he banged on a door asking for help.

The homeowner called police who found Williams lying in a pool of blood near the house.

Police are still trying to determine if Williams was shot by the same men who shot Terry Mack a few blocks away.

"We don't know if they are linked or not, " said Dougherty District Attorney Greg Edwards.  "Mr. Williams as I understand it was in critical but stable condition. That can mean he was in critical condition from the very beginning. So hopefully if he recovers we'll be able to get more from him as time progresses."

If you have any information about the shooting, police want you to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
