Two arrested in Cone street murder

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Two arrests were made this morning for the murder of 44-year-old Terry Mack that happened late Thursday night on Cone street in east Albany.

32-year-old Ronnie Holmes and 39-year-old Michael Woods were charged with murder and arrested by Albany Police around 5 am.

The fatal shooting happened in the 200 block of Cone Street around 11:30 PM Thursday night.

APD says Terry Mack had been shot in the back of the head while sitting in his 1997 Chevrolet Blazer when an unknown person approached the driver's side and fired into the vehicle.

Mack was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Holmes also faces charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during certain crimes.

Woods was additionally charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault.

They are both being held in Dougherty County jail.
