ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

APD says that 44-year-old Terry Mack was killed after being shot in the back of the head in east Albany.

Albany Police are still investigating the shooting that happened in the 200 block of Cone Street around 11:30 PM Thursday night.

APD says when they arrived on the scene their initial investigation revealed the victim had been sitting in his 1997 Chevrolet Blazer when an unknown person approached the driver's side and fired into the vehicle.

Mack was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
