12-year-old raises money for cancer research

A South Georgia Girl decided to raise money for cancer research after the disease touched three of the most important people in her life.

12-year-old Victoria Natoli and a friend collected $31 and donated it to the Cancer Coalition of South Georgia.

Her mother and grandmothers were her motivation.

They're all cancer survivors and Victoria wants to help any way she can.

"I don't want anybody to go through what I had to go through too much because it's too hard," said Victoria.

"It meant the world to us to have support from a child who lived in the community and knowing what she did would support other individuals in this community," said Cancer Coalition CEO Diane Fletcher.

Victoria wanted to make sure the money stayed here in South Georgia to help with cancer education or screening.
