MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Proof of the power of tips to investigators Monday. Anonymous information led to marijuana grow house operation in Moultrie. A tip led drug agents to a home where they ended up confiscating nearly 3 dozen pot plants.

Drug Agents in Moultrie say they got a call saying marijuana was growing inside a home. They checked it out Monday, and it didn't take long for them to find out that tip was on target.

The moment agents drove up to the home at 1202 Holmes Drive in Moultrie, they knew they found the right house.

"Once you stepped inside the house, the whole house reeked of it. You can smell it once you got inside the home," said Sgt. Steve Exum.

Sgt. Steve Exum say this guy Dominiche Holt lives at the home and let officers inside.  They say the whole south side of the house was filled with marijuana plants.

"He had lights set up inside the home, timers, fans, all that," said Sgt. Steve Exum.

Agents arrested Holt and confiscated 33 plants from the home. Exum says Holt was probably growing the marijuana for himself.

"It looks like something he was just trying to get into. There is no indication this was a distribution point," said Sgt. Steve Exum.

All the marijuana confiscated was found growing inside.

There was another person living in the home, but only Holt will be charged with manufacturing marijuana. Holt is out of jail on a $10,000 bond.
