COFFEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

A state representative from Coffee County is charged with driving under the influence for the second time in three years.

Representative Chuck Sims, a republican from Ambrose, was arrested April 2nd 2013 in Douglas. Coffee County Sheriff's officials say Douglas Police pulled Sims over just before midnight because he was swerving.

Sims is charged with D-U-I and failure to maintain lane. In May 2010 he was charged with D-U-I in Atlanta. Sims has served in the General Assembly since 1997. We have not received a response from his office.
