ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The streets of Albany will soon be filled with colorful runners taking strides for a good cause. 

The Flint Riverquarium and Darton State College are preparing to paint the town Saturday, April 27th. The event will begin with a colorful 5-K run through scenic Albany and will be followed by an evening of great music on the Darton campus. The race will be unique because both casual walkers and serious runners will begin in a white t-shirt and will be showered with non-toxic colored powder by the time they reach the finish line.

"You enter the race and you automatically get a ticket to the music festival, it's a whole day of fun, it's a family friendly event and so we think this is really a great partnership and were excited to be able to do this together.

Race and Music Fest Individual pre-registration is $30. But it goes up to $35 on race day. Pre-registration for groups of 4 or more will begin at $100. Darton students are eligible for a special discount.
