TERRELL COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

The Terrell County Sheriff says he's looking into why one of his deputies chased a man on a motorcycle. That chase reached speeds of nearly 150 miles per hour before the motorist crashed in Albany.

Sheriff John Bowens told us it's against his department's policy to pursue motorcyclists unless it's for a felony warrant.

He's also investigating why the deputy's dashboard camera was not working.

Edie Streeter was released the hospital Saturday. He was wanted in Lake City, Florida and ran from a Terrell County deputy who tried to stop him for speeding in Sasser.

He lost control and crashed at Dawson Road and Westgate Drive.
