TY TY, GA (WALB) -

A Ty Ty man was arrested Sunday morning on murder charges made in October last year.

33-year-old Adrian Lamar Golson was arrested after Tift County Deputies received information that  he was at a home in Ty Ty.

The deputies responded around 7 a.m. when a 27-year-old Mattie Mae Monroe answered the door.

Monroe was then asked about Golson and she replied that he was not there.

Deputies then entered the home and found the man hiding in a closet.

Golson is charged with murder in connection with the October 27, 2012 shooting death of 35-year old Arlester Jackson of Ty Ty.

Monroe was also arrested and charged with hindering the apprehension of a fugitive.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting Tift County Sheriff's Office with the investigation.

Golson and Monroe are being held in Tift County jail.

A bond has not yet been set.
