Motorcycle chase ends with crash

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

UDPATE:

A man who crashed his motorcycle as he ran from officers, is out of the hospital.

Edie Streeter was discharged from the hospital sometime Saturday. A Terrell County deputy clocked him going more than 80 miles per hour on Highway 82 near Sasser Friday night. He refused to stop and sped into Albany. He lost control and crashed at the intersection of Dawson Road and Westgate Drive.

"The driver of the motorcycle saw some blue lights, he turned around and started going back the opposite direction, lost control of the motorcycle, fell off the motorcycle.  And that's when the law enforcement officers that were in pursuit of him, caught up with him," said Cpl. Andrew McKenzie with the Georgia State Patrol.

Troopers say Streeter told them he doesn't know why he ran. Streeter was arrested for several traffic charges. We're told Streeter was wanted in Florida.

He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but was discharged Saturday.
