Dozens of law enforcers from all over the area are working together to keep roads safe, Friday night.
Concentrated road safety checks were going on in Lee County.
We shot video a little after eight o'clock at the Highway 19 Bypass in Leesburg.
Three teams of officers from agencies in 12 counties were spread out at three locations and they've move to other locations before they wrapped up in the early morning hours.
"It's important for us to get out and get in touch with the community to let them know that we're out and about and we're going to be checking," said Lt. James Vick with the Leesburg Police Department.
We know officers have already arrested a couple of wanted people.
They've also issued citations of people driving without licenses and insurance.
The Southwest Georgia Traffic Enforcement Network organizes these road blocks once a month in various counties.
