DECATUR COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

Talk about a shock.

A Decatur County man watched as a deer jumped through a window into his bedroom.

Early yesterday morning, Roy Young heard a noise outside of his home on Highway 84.

Young looked out the window and noticed a young buck standing outside.

Young says the deer suddenly jumped through this window into the bedroom and ran into the bathroom.

"There was a dog who was chasing the deer. And they don't know whose dog it was, but it was a rather large white dog that he saw was chasing the deer. I guess the deer saw the window and thought it was a way of escape," said Deputy Ken Davidson.

Deputies were able to use animal control equipment to remove the deer from the house.

No one in the home was injured, but deputies say the deer was severely injured and unfortunately had to be put down.
