Salesperson for Albany business arrested for thefts

The GBI this morning arrested 55 year old Deborah Shirley, on ten theft related charges.  Investigators say the former salesperson of Shutters Plus/Kitchen Design stole close to $21,000 from her employer. 

Shirley was booked into the Dougherty County jail  on charges of six counts of financial transaction card fraud, two counts of forgery in the first degree, one count of theft by deception, and one count of deposit account fraud. 

January 31 Dougherty District Attorney Greg Edwards requested the GBI conduct the investigation into the theft allegations from Shutters Plus/Kitchen Design.

Jail officials say Shirley was released on bond.
