Pot operation busted in Bainbridge

BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) -

Bainbridge Public Safety arrested five men and are still searching for one more for selling marijuana. 

BPS received information that a group of men had been selling marijuana from the America's Best Value Inn on Shotwell Street. 

Police saw a car pull into the hotel, and a person go to a room and leave just a few minutes later. Officers pulled over the driver leaving the hotel. 

25-year-old Jasper Hatten and 20-year-old Desmond Wright, Jr. were both in the car and were both found to be in possession of large amounts marijuana. 

Police witnessed another car pull into the hotel and go to the same room as Hatten and Wright.  When the men left the room, Police arrested them, along with the men selling from the hotel room. 

One suspect, Rashad James, ran away and now has warrants out for his arrest. Investigators recovered nearly three pounds of marijuana, as well as a gun. 

23-year old Andrecas, 25-year old Shannon Madge, 19-year old Philip Kinder, 20-year old Desmond Wright, Jr, and 25-year old Jasper Hatten were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
