ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany mother and daughter had to be cut out of their car by firefighters after a roll over crash Tuesday morning in downtown Albany.

Troopers say about 11:15, 42 year old Sherry Lynn Blaise ran a red light at Pine and North Jefferson. A pickup truck hit her Toyota Highlander on the passenger side. It rolled over and came to rest upright. Firefighters used the jaws of life to remove Blaise and her ten year old daughter Kathryne. A witness said he was stunned by the force of the crash.

"The SUV rolled over one time and came to rest on it's four tires," said witness Foy Shemwell. "But it was a surreal minute, not realizing what happened for a second. But it was kind of bothersome."

The driver of the pick up truck, David Blackwell, was not hurt. Blaise and her daughter were treated at an Albany hospital and released. Blaise was cited by Georgia State Patrol for failure to obey traffic devices.
