ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Kids on vacation from school are participating in a spring break camp at Chehaw.

The weeklong "eco Adventure camp" started April 1, 2013. Through a different theme each day, 5 to 12-year-olds will learn about mother nature and how the earth renews itself.

The kids are also learning about plant and animal life cycles and enjoying daily zoo visits.

"We see animals in our zoological collection, like our Cheetahs, or Mercats, or Rhinos," said Jackie Entz, Chehaw Education Coordinator. "But we also have 600 acres of natural life, so campers get to see some of the native animals that live right here in Chehaw."

Campers are at the park daily from 9am - 3pm.  Participants can register for the entire week or for single days.

Some slots are still available, but parents hoping to enroll their kids should act quickly.
