ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Second Mount Zion Church in Albany brought the death, burial and resurrection of Christ to life with a play, music and speeches.

32 young people participated in the program and they've been preparing since February. The pastor says this visual image speaks volumes in getting the message out. He believes the real celebration is in the days leading up to Easter Sunday.

"That's when the agony and that's when the challenges that Jesus had to endure to get ready for that sunrise service for that resurrection morning," said Pastor Drake.

The church held a similar event several years back. They are holding their regular services Sunday morning at 8:45a.m. and 10:00a.m.

Second Mount Zion Church has been around for about 145 years.
