Former Lee County Trojan Buster Posey has signed a historic contract with the San Francisco Giants.
According to multiple reports, Posey and the Giants agreed to a 9 year, $167 million deal.
It's the longest ever contract signed by a catcher, and the second most expensive, behind Joe Mauer's $184 million.
Posey has had an incredible start to his career with San Francisco.
He's coming off an National League MVP season in 2012 when he led the Giants to a second World Series title.
He won the NL Rookie of the Year in 2010.
Reports say the contract comes with a $7 million signing bonus, and a full no-trade clause.
