LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Marine Base employees and business leaders teed off together Thursday.

The annual Base employee recognition day golf tournament was played at Grand Island Golf Course in Lee County.

120 men and women took part.

Organizers say it's a great event to let the employees bond away from the workplace.

"Helps the camaraderie.," said Major Lou White.  "Get to know each other, as a team building event. We try to do at least one or two of these a year, to build that spirit between the team members."

The money raised by the tournament will pay for the base employee recognition celebration at the end of the year.
